The School of Engineering at The American University in Dubai invites applicants for a faculty position in Computer Engineering, in the area of Digital Systems and Computer Architecture. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, to start in August 2010. Applicants for the position must have an earned Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time of appointment, and must demonstrate significant potential and promise of teaching effectiveness.

Applicants are sought in the broad area of digital computing systems, preferably in the fields of digital design and HDL, computer architecture, microprocessors and embedded systems. Experience in teaching other computer engineering courses such as operating systems and programming languages is desirable.

The compensation packages for these positions are competitive, and are based on the expatriate model.
