Institutional Research and Compliance Coordinator
 
The Department of Institutional Effectiveness at the American University in Dubai invites applicants for the above-mentioned position.

Principal Responsibilities:

Intuitional Research:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, data collection and analysis of faculty, staff and student surveys
  • Assist the colleges in developing, administering and interpreting surveys
  • Create data sets and reports from various institutional databases and external resources
  • Perform statistical analyses of data as appropriate
  • Present initial findings in narrative, tabular, and graphical forms
  • Produce and submit a variety of regular and ad hoc reports
  • Respond to internal and external requests for information
  • Compile data to complete the Fact Book and higher education surveys as required
  • Assist faculty, staff, and administrators in program review, accreditation self-study, and various planning processes, primarily by supplying needed information in appropriate formats. Studies involve areas such as admissions, financial aid, retention, and student learning
  • Use a variety of software, including database, spreadsheet, graphics, and statistical analysis packages
  • Other related duties as assigned
Compliance:
  • Prepare Annual Reports for NPEC
  • In collaboration with the Registrar’s Office, ensure that student files are complete
  • In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, ensure that faculty and staff files are properly maintained. These should contain appropriate transcripts, experiential qualification documentation, data forms required by accrediting agencies, evaluations, etc
  • In collaboration with the Dean of Student Services, ensure that crime statistics and security information is available for review by July 1 of each year
  • In collaboration with the Dean of Student Services, ensure that drug-free workplace information is available for review by July 1 each year
  • Other related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, social science, statistics or equivalent; Master’s a plus
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with SPSS desirable
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, duties and projects
  • Ability to handle confidential materials
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quantitative course work and experience with quantitative analysis
  • Experience within an American academic institution
