It is my privilege to be a member of the American University in Dubai (AUD) community, and it gives me great pleasure to address you as a potential member of an outstanding learner-centric community.
At AUD, the office of the provost brings out the energies and talents of our faculty by offering cross-disciplinary programs and by collaborating with other areas within the university, to create an inspiring, innovative, creative, and collaborative learning environment.
Every member of the AUD community plays an important role in making AUD a premier center for academic excellence. One indication of this excellence is that AUD’s graduates are among the most sought after by industries and internationally recognized as some of the most employable in the world.
AUD prides itself on its educational programs. Its schools, faculty and administrators focus on learners seeking to excel at the University and beyond. AUD is developing a new learner-centric pedagogical program to enhance its academic excellence recognized through US and UAE accreditation* and licensing*. The faculty believes that learners deserve to be treated as fellow human beings by educators who endeavor to engage their curiosity and creative thinking with challenges that relate to what matters to every learner through personalized/individualized learning.
The outstanding faculty members of AUD are committed to creating an environment where learners seek to learn through the acquisition of knowledge and skill, where exposure to human, cultural and experiential diversity plays a crucial role in this acquisition process.   • AUD is US-accredited, by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and authorized by the State of Georgia non-Public Education Commission. AUD is also licensed by and its programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) - UAE Ministry of Education Higher Education Affairs (MEHEA). The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has also permitted AUD. In addition, AUD academic programs are accredited by The International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), The International Advertising Association, The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism & Mass communication (ACEJM), and The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).  AUD has recently added to its wealth of accreditation, a prestigious recognition by The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). NASAD has granted AUD’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), with majors in Advertising, Digital Media, Graphic Design and Studio Art; and Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Interior Design the designation of Substantial Equivalency with accredited programs in the US.
