Academic Requirements
An earned high school/secondary school certificate or its equivalent from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the U.A.E. or by the relevant national or regional institutional accrediting body in the case of international applicants.
 
English Requirements
International TOEFL® or Academic IELTSTM or the equivalent score on another internationally-recognized English exam. PBT is accepted from specific centers in the UAE; students should consult with the Admissions Office for further details. See chart below for scores.

Mathematics Requirements
The university administers the ACCUPLACERTM Exam (Math) to place students in the appropriate Mathematics course. In all programs other than the Engineering Program, students may substitute the SAT® for the Math placement provided they achieve their program required scores indicated below.

All students seeking undergraduate admission to the university must submit the following list of documents along with the completed Application for Undergraduate Admissions Kit:

Academic Documents
  • An official high school/secondary school certificate or its equivalent as approved by the Ministry of Education and an official attested high school/secondary school transcript (academic record) covering the last three years and reflecting a good academic standard. Required averages vary by school systems. Students should consult an AUD Admissions Coordinator for pertinent requirements.
  • For British qualifications, the following standard applies to IGCSE/GCE: grade “C” or above. AS-level and A-level will also be considered with a minimum grade of “D”. A combination of seven subjects (O/AS/A) or four subjects (AS/A) is required. These subjects must cover at least four areas out of the following: Math, Languages, Sciences, Humanities/Social Sciences, Arts and Design. Proof of completion of grade 11 is required for students applying with IGCSE subjects, reflected through the submission of the official high school transcripts to the admissions office.
  • Students who graduated from the UAE should get their transcripts attested by the appropriate authority of the UAE Ministry of Education following the referring educational zone.  
  • For International students; Grade 12 transcript and diploma have to be attested (please see High School Certificate Attestation)
  • Equivalency letter is also required from the appropriate authority of the UAE Ministry of Education following the referring educational zone for students who graduated from the UAE or the UAE Ministry of Education for students who graduated from outside the UAE.
 
Test Scores
Scores must be submitted at the time of application
  • Official TOEFL® or Academic IELTSTM scores sent directly to the Admissions Office. AUD’s international code for TOEFL® is 0063.
  • Official SAT® scores sent directly to the Admissions Office. AUD’s SAT® code is 7493.
 
Personal Documents
  • Two passport-size photographs and colored valid passport photocopy with the visa validity page and Emirates ID.
  • Completed Health History Form. This form must be signed and stamped by a physician.
 
Financial Requirements
  • Non-refundable application fee of AED200.
  • Reservation deposit fee of AED5,000: Due to the high number of applicants, students are requested to pay a non-refundable deposit, which is fully applied toward tuition within two months of the start of the term of entry. No Application will be accepted after this date without the reservation deposit.
