THE METAMORPHOSIS TREASURE HUNT
Students promote the AUD Reading Across Campus Program
An on-campus treasure hunt campaign is being organized by students to promote AUD’s Reading Across Campus Program as well as promote awareness, reading, and some critical analysis of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis.
: February 15, 2016
: 6pm – 8:00pm
: Student Center Lobby
The event will kick off in front of the Student Center building, when teams of 4 students will hunt for pages of the book. Each page has a hint that leads the team to the location of the following clue. The winners will receive tickets to DJ Hardwell Concert as well as gift vouchers from Book World by Kinokuniya, among other items.
AUD’s Reading Across Campus program has been designed to promote reading as a central component of the university experience. Beginning in Fall 2015, the campus community - students, faculty, staff, and loved ones - were invited to read a single text - Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis (1915) - and to participate in related events throughout the year. By coming together around a common text, the hope is to cultivate a deeper sense of intellectual curiosity and community engagement across campus life, and to emphasize the important role books play in building a lively academic culture.
