Career Fair 2017
Around 50 companies exhibit

The Career Services Division at AUD organized its annual Career Fair, which saw some 50 companies from several different sectors exhibit this year, providing an opportunity for over 600 students and alumni to interact with their future employers.

Our graduates have recently been ranked among the top 150 most employable in the world according to a Times Higher Education report, and the Career Fair is a forum where we proudly showcase this fact,” comments Tala K. Makhlouf, Director of Student Retention and Success and Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President.
In his opening message, AUD President Dr. Lance de Masi wrote, “The dual challenges of educating to global standards and satisfying the human resource requirements of a vibrant local society can best be met through alliances between educators and professionals. The objectives of a career fair are therefore grounded in providing students and employers with the opportunity for “structured” exposure to one another.”
Rana Mukhaimer, Talent Acquisition Lead at Nestlé Middle East, said that the company was offering internships in engineering, marketing and human resources, in addition to full time employment opportunities. She added, "We are here looking for highly qualified students to work in the company. Students will be trained during the summer period and graduates will be employed directly."
Sandra Choueiri, Director of Human Resources at the Choueiri Group, said: "We are here to conduct interviews with graduate and students to provide job opportunities and train them in the field of media and advertising, whether in radio, television or newspapers.”
Hussein Hassan, Assistant Director of Operations at Citi Bank and a graduate of the American University in Dubai, said, "Job opportunities are available to UAE Nationals as a priority. The bank has a special program called “Mihnaty” for citizens that prepares them for leading managerial positions, and as a participant in the program myself, I am at my old university’s career fair to share this with my fellow graduates and students.”
"We are at the AUD career Fair looking for students to train them for six months and then employ the best people according to the specializations that the company needs," said Omar Al Shaikh, Sales Manager for British company RB.
