The Personal Counseling Division at AUD hosted Dr. Anastasia Kamanos, Director of Development at Hissah Enrichment Center, for a talk with students titled Fear, Fail, Love: The Power of Four Letter Words.
Love is what we’re born with; fear is what we learn.
Our perceptions about failure, like our perceptions about love or success are dominated by our inner fears. Unacknowledged fear prevents us from living up to our full potential, leading us to settle for relationships that are unfulfilling, careers that are uninspiring and lives that are only half-lived.
A compelling educator and speaker, Dr. Kamanos examined how our response to fear shapes our relationships, careers and life choices and how we can move beyond fear to greater confidence, higher self-esteem and personal empowerment. This empowering presentation was for everyone who feels in a rut, constantly apprehensive about what-ifs but is ready to transcend their limits, challenge their fears and embrace their creative potential.
