The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication (MBRSC) in collaboration with the School of Arts and Sciences at AUD is pleased to announce the “Intensive Film Production Course in Prague” – a credited and graded course that can serve as a General Elective.
The course abroad is scheduled during Summer I Term with travel dates from 28 May to 10 June 2017 to the Prague Film School. The course is an enriching experience that broadens the students’ perspective on each of the three stages of film production: pre-production, production and post-production, while accounting for diverse cultural landscapes.
At the end of this course, students will be able to produce a short film through practicing the roles and responsibilities of each crew position on set or location and apply the fundamentals of directing actors and communicating effectively with them.
This experience will allow students to explore further the relationship between the screenplay and visual storytelling. Since the course takes place in two different cities, students will be able to identify the value of art design in the world of the story.
- Open to all AUD students, with MBRSC Associate Dean’s approval;
- MBRSC students must have completed COMM 241;
- have a minimum GPA of 2.0;
- cannot enroll in another course over Summer I;
- Passport valid for at least one year; and
- UAE Residency Visa valid at least 3 months after June 10, 2017 (day of return).
