International Night 2017
Capturing the essence of the diversity at AUD
The Student Activities Office, in collaboration with the Student Government Association hosted the 2017 edition of International Night on campus.
International Night is considered the largest and most anticipated annual student event at AUD, attracting a massive crowd of students, faculty, staff, and the community at large to celebrate the rich cultural diversity at AUD, and this year was no exception.
Numerous cultural performances and booths were scheduled by participating AUD cultural student clubs, capturing the essence of the diversity at AUD, which encompasses over a 100 different nationalities.
Students are encouraged to wear their national dress, showcase their unique cultural traditions and share their heritage with the entire AUD community. Dances, singing, fashion shows, and plays performed by AUD’s various cultural groups are some of the highlights of this event.
The judges this year were Dr. Elham Seyedsayamdost – Chair of International and Middle Eastern Studies, Dr. Angelo Corelli – Associate Professor of Finance, Ms. Cristina Rompe – Administrative Assistant at MBRSC, Dr. Jigar Jogia – Associate Professor of Psychology, Mr. Tiago Costa – Assistant Professor of Architecture, and AUD Student Ms. Jude Kamel.
