AUD professor on judging panel for third year

Prof. Annamaria Lambri, Associate Professor of Interior Design at AUD has been invited for the third year as a member of the judging panel during the INDEX Architecture and Design Awards 2017, to be held from May 22-25 at the World Trade Centre during one of the INDEX Design Series exhibitions.
 
In the jury panel, Prof. Lambri joins professionals such as Laura Bielecki - Senior Interior Design Manager at Ellington, Sharon Jutla, Design - Director Middle East at Harrison International, Isabel Pintado - Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Middle East & Africa at Wilson Associates, Rob Canning - General Manager at Suncoast,   George Kahler - Founder of KAHLER Design, Massimo Imparato - Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture & Interior Design at the Canadian University in Dubai, and Christopher Seymour - Regional Development Director Middle East and South Asia at Mott MacDonald.

The fifth annual INDEX design awards was renamed this year the INDEX Architecture & Design Awards (IADA). Celebrating exceptional creativity, innovation and passion in design, IADA will unite the region's leading creative lights at a glitzy gala showcasing the finest architecture and design projects, products and professionals from the preceding year.
 
With awards across 15 distinct categories, culminating in the INDEX Design Series Lifetime Achievement Award, the evening ceremony will pay homage to the evolution of Dubai’s design industry, which since 1991 has grown exponentially to become an internationally respected force.
 
It will also offer big nods to the future, celebrating those up and coming designers who are constantly helping evolve Dubai's style and design scene even further.[1]
 
The INDEX Architecture & Design Awards 2017 and the ceremony will showcase leading architecture and design projects, products and professionals across distinct categories to celebrate exceptional creativity, innovation and passion in design over the preceding year, culminating in the INDEX Design Series Lifetime Achievement Award.
 
Prof. Lambri predicts that in 2017, “the design trends will embrace minimalistic design together with technologically smart design solutions.”
