The School of Arts and Sciences successfully organized the 3^rd Annual Debate Competition, titled "War is Necessary for Peace." For this event, Dr. Micah Robbins, Acting Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, was invited as the guest of honor. Additionally, the jury panel of Dr. Pedro Sellos, Associate Dean of MBRSC and Assistant Professor of Communication and Information Studies, Dr. Linda Smith, Assistant Professor of International Relations, and Dr. Sandra Alexander, Assistant Professor of Humanities, evaluated the participants' arguments and performances. The competition was fierce between our first team (Tork Nabih, Christopher Alex and Arsham Marian) and the second team (Muzoon AlQubaisi, Liana Shalash, Elisa Teianu and Abdelrahman AlZahabi).

In the end the following debaters were awarded certificates for their exceptional oratory skills:

• Elisa Teianu (2^nd Runner-up)
