Jibril Maher Al-Ibrahim, a student from Al-Ahlia Charitable School in Dubai, has been awarded a four-year scholarship to the Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai. This announcement was made during the awards ceremony for the Innovators in Media Competition, organized annually by AUD for high school students in public and private schools across the UAE. The competition, now in its eighth year, is held in collaboration with the Emirates School Establishment and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
This year's competition required students to write an article on the theme: "The Role of Scientific Research in the Development of Societies and the progress of nations (Spotlight on the UAE)." A total of one hundred students participated.
Anna Maria Alloush from Al Mawakeb School initially won first place but waived the scholarship due to her plans to study abroad. Consequently, Jibril Maher Al-Ibrahim, the second-place winner, received the scholarship.

The awards ceremony was attended by Dr. Lance de Masi, President of AUD, along with Ms. Tala Makhlouf, Director of Admissions and Registration; Mr. Elie Sawaya, Director of Central Services; Mr. Nadir Makansi, Media Consultant; members of the judging committees; and several school principals, teachers, and parents. Prizes were distributed to all winners in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
