AUD’s UCN Team Plans Future Sustainability Initiatives on World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, members of AUD’s Universities Climate Network (UCN) Team of Faculty and Staff participated in the UCN’s planning meeting at the University of Birmingham in Dubai to discuss the UCN’s future plans and initiatives for the collaborative journey towards COP29.

Prof. Meis Moukayed, Professor of Health and Life Sciences and AUD Lead Representative to the UCN, commented “Our participation in this UCN meeting was a reaffirmation of our commitment at AUD to sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It was a pleasure for us to meet with fellow UCN Colleagues to discuss and plan many exciting UCN collaborations which will promote and enable impactful strategies, curricula, projects, and initiatives supporting the SDGs and climate action within our beloved UAE, and which will have impactful community and global resonance. It will be an exciting year ahead and we aim to be active enablers at AUD in this UCN sustainability journey towards COP29”.

Montero, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Vinod Pangracious, Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering; Dr. Sunitha Kshatriya, Associate Professor, Management and Director AUD’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center Certified Incubator; Dr. Mary Vayaliparampil , Assistant Professor of Education; Prof. Annamaria Lambri, Chair of the Department of Interior Design and Associate Professor of Interior Design; and Dr. Indrakshi Tandon, Assistant Professor of International Studies.
