Under the guidance of Dr. Rima Assaf, the School of Business proudly participated in the CEEMA Virtual University Challenge: LSEG Workspace Portfolio Management University Competition 2023. This initiative aimed to provide students with practical knowledge in asset management using LSEG Workspace.

Our students underwent a comprehensive learning experience, mastering the art of constructing high-performing investment portfolios. They delved into considerations of risk factors and applied a mix of quantitative and qualitative techniques. Upon completion, they received a Certificate of Completion, had the opportunity to network with industry experts, and stood a chance to win exciting prizes. This event seamlessly bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world finance, equipping students for success in the competitive job market.

In a remarkable showcase of financial acumen, three outstanding SB finance students—Jonas Jaber, Amro Ahmed, and Nedal Obeidat—emerged as semi-finalists in the Refinitiv Portfolio Management University Competition. This prestigious competition spans 46 regional universities across 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The success of Jonas, Amro, and Nedal not only underscores their dedication and expertise in the intricate world of portfolio management but also brings immense pride to the School of Business at AUD.
