A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Dubai Police G.H.Q and the American University in Dubai as part of the activities of the World Police Summit held at the Dubai World Trade Center. The MOU was signed by Major/General Jamal Al Jallaf, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Dr. David A. Schmidt, President of University.
The MOU states that the two parties will cooperate in the field of training and development and innovative projects in the following: robotics, artificial intelligence, data science, and other topics to be agreed upon. Additionally, both parties will cooperate in exchanging scientific research and providing opportunities to benefit from facilities and scientific laboratories.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in organizing educational activities such as webinars or workshops and conducting a teacher exchange program for the purpose of shared knowledge, education and the exchange of best practices.
The attendees included Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ahmed Al-Loughani, Director of the Criminal Training and Development Department; Dr. Hassan Zeineddine, Director of the Executive Programs Center at AUD; Ms. Tala Makhlouf, Associate Executive Vice President at AUD and Mr. Elie Sawaya, Director of Central Services at AUD.
