Students from the BAIS program were invited to exhibit their poster creations at this year’s Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development (DIHAD) Event, held from March 13-15, under the theme “Energy and Aid: Capitalising on available resources“. Established in 2004, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, DIHAD serves the International Humanitarian Aid and Development Community in the Middle East, Africa and the world, bringing together key decision-makers from leading NGOs, UN Agencies, Charity Organizations and governmental bodies, together with aid, education and construction providers from the private sector to address the needs of the people and countries affected by crises, disasters and natural calamities. Apart from being on display for the entire conference, a special Poster Viewing Session was held on March 14, attended by the DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Foundation Chairman, H.E. Amb. Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani and CEO, H.E. Amb. Gerhard J.W. Putman-Crame. The posters are now back on campus and on display on the 4th floor of C building at AUD.
