A Film Screening Hosted by MBRSC & SAAD
This session from the CRID Event Series in collaboration with the MBRSC & SAAD, will host Salma Zulfiqar who will showcase a presentation of the short film created by the Artist entitled: In Solidarity - The Migration Blanket, followed by a Q & A session.
Salma is an award-winning international artist and activist exploring the theme of migration and women. She explores the theme through painting and digital artworks. Her current works include The Migration Blanket, exhibited during the Venice Biennale 2019, this was a collaborative artwork which was created using a mixture of drawings and collage. During this process she worked with a group of migrant women and also taught them creative self-expression and human rights. This project has been turned into a digital artwork called In Solidarity - The Migration Blanket which has been exhibited and screened in UK and internationally online with more events planned in 2021/2022
