Abstract:
Software as a Service (SaaS) is the rendering of business processes, using a cloud platform, to harness the advantages of cloud computing at the various architectural levels of software applications. The adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS) requires some level of standardization for those industries implementing it, which by their very nature are different. Further complicating adoption is how most enterprises have their competitive differentiation in the way they provide products and services to their customers (through the processes they follow). In the last decade however, the software industry has seen the incredible growth of SaaS year on year and most of the software giants are competing to bring out newer data centers across the globe. This presentation discusses the various opportunities SaaS provides and the challenges it needs to overcome regularly.
