With this session we aim to explore Prefabrication in Tall Buildings, a subject that challenges existing codes and conventional design principles, holding the potential to reshape the future of our built environment.

The talk will encompass design considerations related to high-rise projects, involving a process that fosters efficiency and repeatability while preserving the building aesthetics, making it suitable even for highly ambitious architectural designs. The discussion will expand on design principles, available modular technologies, logistics constraints and addressing the current challenges in the industry, explaining why prefabrication is a gamechanger in the design of tall buildings, especially in the Middle East region.

Finally, we'll examine case studies showcasing the successful implementation of various modular technologies in different regions, including the successful experience in obtaining the Dubai Municipality approval for the first multi-storey modular volumetric building system in the city.
