From October 6th to October 30th the exhibition entitled “Artist-Collector: A Contemporary Print" exhibition by Brian Gonzales was on display in the School of Architecture, Art and Design’s Rotunda. The exhibition presented a collection of fine art prints from the private collection of Brian Gonzales a printmaking artist, art collector, and lecturer at the University of Sharjah. The exhibition featured 21 prints by 20 different artists selected from a collection acquired over a period of 15 years. The exhibition was intended to demonstrate the versatility, diversity, and creative potential of printmaking as a medium. Attendees were not only able to see the variety of techniques and subject matter employed by a diverse group of artists but also observe the ways in which these artists are connected through the network of a single artist-collector who has personally worked with nearly every artist in the exhibition.
