On May 30, 2024, OCLC, a non-profit library organization, and AUD organized an event designed to showcase OCLC's latest technology updates and developments that will empower libraries for present and future challenges in user experience and success, expanding collection discovery, streamlined processes, and the transition to linked data. More than 40 librarians from the UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Kuwait from academic and specialized libraries, as well as research centers and the Emirates Library and Information Association, attended the half-day event to discuss, share ideas, and network.
