Congratulations to Interior Design student, Dalin Abubaker, selected among the top 10 worldwide finalists of the International ACCOR Hotels Design Challenge 2023!

Project Jalees reflects the history of the UAE, using local and sustainable materials. It develops a hub with activities and F&B area including an external layout. The design was been developed in IDES 375 F&B Design class with mentorship and under the supervision  of Professor Annamaria Lambri, Associate Professor of Interior Design and Outreach Coordinator – Interior Design.

The theme is about imagining the Mercure hotels social hub and placing local food and beverage at its heart with a sustainability focus. The competition is open to design schools but also to freelance design students from the entire world.
