Congratulations to AUD Interior Design Students Dalin Abubaker and Mallika Takiar with their “Das Skelett Lounge” concept, which received first place at Broadway Interiors Design Competition _ Vol 2: Furniture.

The concept was developed in Professor Lambri’s IDES391–Interior Design Studio V: Furniture Design and Detailing course.

The challenge was developed as a collaboration Broadway Interiors, Boss Design, American University in Dubai and Heriot-Watt University, focusing on the design of a seating solution, from a range of specified materials. The prototype was manufactured by Marwan Ali Furniture, the partners in the UAE of Boss Design and displayed in the Vitra showroom in d3 at the final event and award ceremony, with the winners announced during Dubai Design Week 2021.

The selection jury was: Chris Barnes, Broadway Interiors; Carla Conte, Brand Creative and Ben Mitchell, Boss Design.
