On Wednesday, 28 August 2024, the Office of the Provost hosted a Faculty Professional Development Workshop for existing and new faculty. AUD welcomed a total of 18 faculty members from across multiple countries and disciplines. During the workshop, faculty were engaged in interactive sessions on Universal Design Learning (hosted by AUD’s very own Dr. Fariha Salman) and Mastering Gamification: Leveraging AI to Enhance Course Engagement (hosted by Drs. Cindy Bonfini-Hotlosz and Carrie Bauer from Centreity).

The workshop commenced with Dr. Kyle Long, AUD President, giving the welcoming speech, while Dr. Sabrina Jospeh, Provost and Chief Academic Officer, provided insightful updates on AUD’s latest accomplishments and discussed the latest trends in higher education. The workshop concluded with an open forum on generative AI and its impact on the higher education sector.
