AUD Students' AI-Driven Designs Shape Tomorrow's Cityscape in Collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim

Majid Al Futtaim, in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and the American University in Dubai, has announced the winners of the design competition ‘Dreamscapes: Envisioning the Future of Dubai with AI.’ The awards ceremony took place at Distrikt in Tilal Al Ghaf, where over 150 students submitted more than 250 futuristic artworks, focusing on themes like culture, sustainability, and technology.

The top prize of Dhs15,000 was awarded to Abbas AlObaidi for his design ‘Tomorrow’s Horizons,’ which features the Burj Khalifa amidst a vibrant skyline. Ahmed Al Salman’s ‘Intertwine’ and Kareem Eid’s ‘Dynamic Quarters’ took second and third place, respectively, showcasing innovative architectural concepts. Honourable mentions were given to Amira Kairatkyzy and Ayesha Alsuwaidi.

The initiative aims to inspire future design leaders and enhance Dubai’s status as a smart city. Selected artworks will be displayed on billboards in Tilal Al Ghaf, and a documentary exploring AI's impact on design will be released. The collaboration aligns with the UAE's vision for a future-oriented educational model leveraging AI technologies.
