AUD B.S. in Biology Students explored the latest agricultural technologies at Sharjah Asset Management Greenhouses. During the visit, students witnessed the innovative agricultural technologies used at the Sharjah Asset Management greenhouses, including advanced irrigation, fertilization, cooling, ventilation, and humidity control systems for both hydroponics and land cultivation. These state-of-the-art greenhouses aim to increase the density of plants and produce high-quality, organic fruits that meet stringent marketing specifications. The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at AUD is grateful to Sharjah Asset Management Company, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, for providing the Biology students with the opportunity to explore the latest agricultural technologies used at their state-of-the-art greenhouses. The students were impressed by the company's efforts to develop the agri-food sector and build a strong, globally leading food security system. The warm welcome extended to the faculty and students at the facilities was greatly appreciated.
