Dr. Alexandros Papaspyridis (PhD, MSc, BSc) gave a guest lecture to the School of Business students and faculty on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on businesses and your careers? Dr. Papaspyridis has deep expertise in the technology sector, including startups and large tech giants such as Microsoft, where he was responsible for worldwide Azure cloud sales go-to-market strategy and its execution in the education sector.

In his lecture, Dr. Papaspyridis provided insights into how businesses worldwide are undergoing digital transformation with AI at its core and how over 50% of jobs are exposed to generative AI (genAI), predominantly white-collar, skilled jobs. He added that most repetitive tasks will be replaced by genAI, and the nature of the jobs will shift from process to project. This will result in a Human + AI tandem workflow, where AI will augment, not replace, employees. Dr. Papaspyridis encouraged students to engage with AI early and deeply as this will heighten their employability.
