AUD Architecture students presented their project proposals in front of the Majid Al Futtaim team of 6 jury members in the presence of Hawazen Esber, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim – Communities. This is part of the screening process for Majid Al Futtaim Architecture Competition with AUD that was launched on September 15, 2022, to design an exclusive Clubhouse at Alaya at Tilal Al Ghaf, Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship resort-style community in Dubai.

In addition, Dr. Georges Kachaamy, Director of the Center for SAAD Research, Innovation and Design (CRID), Professor of Architecture and Professor Takeshi Maruyama, Associate Professor of Architecture were present at the event and were the advisors who guided the students in their design process and outcome.

The winning designs that will be awarded AED 25,000, with two further awards available of AED 15,000 as a second prize and AED 10,000 for the runner-up. All three finalists will then be invited to join the Majid Al Futtaim Communities’ Development Team during subsequent semesters to gain valuable insight into the development process, where they will play an active role in the realization of the project concept.
