International Design Workshop - 21st to 26th February
On the 21st of February 2022, the workshop organized by the Department of Architecture at AUD - School of Architecture, Art and Design (SAAD) and Ingegneria Edile Architettura Department - Faculty of Engineering (UNIVPM), "Oases in the desert: designing new agricultural communities in Dubai to imagine resilient rural-urban synergies," started with the opening ceremony at the Expo 2020 Italian pavilion.
At the end of the presentation an MOU between the two universities was signed to open new opportunities in studying, teaching, and researching.
The rector of UNIVPM visited AUD Campus to meet the students and professors of both universities. AUD Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Sabrina Joseph, visited the workshop and had a meeting with the participants to discuss her field of research related to the History of Agriculture in the Middle East.
On the last day of the workshop, students from both universities presented their final work, receiving certificates and Awards.
