Dubai. United Arab Emirates. October 2 -- The American University in Dubai (AUD) and the Vertical Flight Society UAE are thrilled to announce the signing of an Educational Partnering Agreement today at the American University in Dubai’s School of Engineering. The collaboration aims to enhance educational resources, foster research initiatives, and cultivate innovation among students, faculty, and the wider aviation community to further vertical flight technologies in the UAE.

Dr. Wael Bazzi, Dean of the School of Engineering, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “This agreement marks a significant step forward in our commitment to elevating vertical flight technologies in the UAE. By uniting academia with industry expertise, we are creating a dynamic platform for innovation, knowledge sharing, and mentorship that will prepare our students to become leaders in this vital sector.”
This was echoed by Vertical Flight Society’s Salim Mousallam “This is a significant milestone for the Vertical Flight Society’s mission in the UAE. Strengthening collaboration between academia and industry is a key objective of the Chapter, and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create.”

The Vertical Flight Society will launch this month with an event hosted by the American University in Dubai, at their campus on the 21st October 2024. The event will welcome guest speakers from the UAE and around the globe who will discuss the history and initiatives of the Vertical Flight Society. The event is open to students, faculty, and industry professionals.
