The Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA), launched under the School of Arts and Sciences, is a ten-course, 30 credit-hour program, that helps enhance expertise in international affairs and prepares the next generation of policymakers to serve in national, regional, or local government agencies; international or nongovernmental organizations; or multinational corporations while contributing to the advancement of Emirati and global society.

The Dean of The School of Arts and Sciences (SoAS), Dr. Elham Seyedsayamdost, commented, “In the COVID-19 era, it has become ever more pressing to train skilled policymakers, who have the knowledge and tools to appropriately examine global challenges and find sustainable solutions. The School of Arts and Sciences at The American University in Dubai (AUD) has created the Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA) in order to prepare the next generation of globally aware policymakers, who are qualified to address our increasingly interdependent challenges through evidence-based and innovative solutions.”

The Master of Urban Design and Digital Environments (MUDDE), launched under the School of Architecture, Art and Design, is a ten-course, 30 credit-hour program that prepares students in solving complex and multi-faceted urban problems using the best practices and the latest technologies.
