Being part of the Project Management team in WSP Middle East has pushed my learning curve and allowed me to work on some of the region’s most remarkable projects. These projects include One Za’abeel project located in Dubai, which is planned to have the world’s longest cantilever upon completion. This experience ties back to my master’s degree from University College London in the field of Construction Economics and Management.
Being a woman in the construction industry comes with its own set of challenges, and I have had the chance to reflect on these in the October issue of Middle East Consultant magazine. In the article I shared what inspired me to join this industry and covered some ideas about increasing diversity and gender equality. The key message is that change is a process and we can give it momentum by increasing awareness.
