AUD and IBM Collaborate on Educational and Research Programs

The School of Business Administration at AUD organized a seminar in collaboration with IBM on campus to present their academic initiative and research associated programs. During the event, faculty and staff members from different schools at AUD learned about IBM’s collaboration projects and discussed future potentials. Dr. Hassan Zeineddine, Chair of Management at AUD, commented: “Collaborating with IBM on educational and research programs shall pay dividends to Business Administration students and AUD community at large. Free access to a diversity of IBM tools and research initiatives will enrich professors teaching pedagogies and students practical experience.”
 
During his opening speech, Dr. Mohammad Abu Ali, Dean of SBA, welcomed this prosperous collaboration, followed by sessions from IBM officers Mr. Andrea Emiliani, Business Development Executive Academia IBM Middle East; Mr. Parham Padidar, Senior Client Technical Advisor, IBM GB & UR, IBM Middle East; Mr. Juan P. Napoli, Global University Programs Leader, IBM Middle East; and Mr. Tim Peck, Technology & Intellectual Property, IBM Research.
 
The speakers took turn in presenting different programs such as free access to software and cloud services, educational tools and programs, student internships, and research collaborations to solve problems of national interest and build a sustainable research ecosystem.
 
The School of Business Administration at AUD provides excellence in business education by building a strong relationship with domestic, regional and global institutions, industries, and knowledge disseminating organizations being one of the university’s outreach strategic priorities.
