A lecture at AUD on human trafficking

The Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication hosted a Media Chat with Rajiv Uttamchandani, Astrophysicist, Human Rights Activist, Social Entrepreneur, Chairman at International STEM Society for Human Rights, and President at Humanity Education & Rights.
 
Uttamchandani emphasized that Human Trafficking has become one of the most unfortunate realities of our time. Countless innocent young girls and boys, even grown women and men have fallen victim to this abhorrent practice.
 
We must better understand the international business that is Human Trafficking and do everything in our capabilities to rescue our sisters and brothers still suffering from forced bondage, and bring justice to those responsible for these crimes.”
 
Above all else, Mr. Uttamchandani’s primary interests lie in the application of modern Science and Technology to help protect innocent children, women, and men around the world from suffering countless abuses to their fundamental and inalienable rights as human beings. He said: “It is my belief that our hope lies in the powers of modern science and technology, to develop tools to address these issues and bring an end to trafficking and slavery.
 
He concluded: "Purpose & Responsibility are the most important two words that can change your life vision."
 
About Rajiv Uttamchandani
Rajiv Uttamchandani is an astrophysicist, professor, social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and human rights activist. He is the Founder & Chairman of the International STEM Society for Human Rights - a non-profit organization dedicated to applying STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) and Education to address the world’s most urgent human rights crises. As a leading activist for women’s rights, Mr. Uttamchandani has established a vast array of properties under his Trademark brand - H.E.R. He is actively involved with governments, providing guidance and advice on implementing programs and laws to help better protect women and children in their respective nations.

Mr. Uttamchandani regularly travels across continents and countries, giving talks at public and private venues, stressing on the necessity of gender equality, on women empowerment, and on promoting human rights as a career choice.
