Born in Italy, Architect Annamaria Lambri graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano followed by a Master in Interior Design, specialized in Hospitality Design.
Ms. Lambri has a vast and diversified experience in the field of architecture and design. She has worked on numerous projects ranging from international exhibitions to commercial, residential and hospitality design both in Italy and internationally.
She moved to the UAE in 2005 where she worked on a variety of prestigious commercial and residential design projects. Her involvement in very high-end projects allowed her to acquire major and specific experience and to explore a wide range of topics.
Ms. Lambri has been involved in several hospitality design projects, working with some of the major international hotel operators. She developed projects in the Gulf Region, Asia and Europe, building conspicuous professional experience in the hospitality design field.
In 2011, she joined the American University in Dubai as Assistant Professor of Interior Design, subsequently promoted to Associate Professor of Interior Design, specialized in Hospitality Design. She is an active faculty member of the AUD Interior Design Department, involved in many initiatives and design challenges. Moreover, she has been a principal contributor to the development of the Concentration in Hospitality Design as part of the Interior Design program.
Ms. Lambri is also the Outreach Coordinator at AUD Interior Design Department, collaborating with some of the major players of the field for the development of diverse initiatives aimed to link industry and academia.
Her research interest focuses on human-centered design. Her primary area of interest is the development of the hospitality design field and its implications. She is also an abstract reviewer of international conferences.
Ms. Lambri’s constant improvement and engagement in the field is demonstrated by significant professional certifications such as Leaders of Learning from Harvard University. She is a certified Architect, AIA International Associate Member (The American Institute of Architects), RIBA Chartered Member (Royal Institute of British Architects), IDEC Member (Interior Design Educators Council), APID Member (Association Professional Interior Design Gulf Region).
She alternates her academic activity with research and design practice. Ms. Lambri is part of several Committees, both academical and professional Committees. She is a Jury member of reputable international professional events. She is also a speaker at local and international interior design and architecture events, seminars, workshops and conferences.
