Hadeel is an architect and RIBA chartered member. She has a Ph.D. in Architecture from Alexandria University, Egypt. Her main areas of interest are risk assessment, disaster risk management, and advanced technologies to reduce the impacts of flood disasters.

Hadeel has over ten years of academic experience in different universities in Egypt and the UAE. She also has experience working as an architect at a prominent company working on megaprojects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.

In September 2018, Hadeel joined the American University in Dubai as an Adjunct Professor. In January 2023, she decided to devote herself exclusively to academics and became a full-time faculty member at AUD.

Apart from these professional experiences, Hadeel also has a research background related to art and architecture that led her to the path of success in her professional career.
