Dr. Perri Giovannucci teaches classes in world literature, world cultures, and English composition. She is especially interested in the literatures of the Middle East and the Mediterranean world. She is the author of Literature and Development in North Africa: The Modernizing Mission (Routledge), for which she received the AUD Provost Award for Outstanding Literary Achievement.
Her other interests include globalization; cultural studies; and, narrative film.
She hails from Detroit, car capital of the world.
