The School of Education at AUD offers a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree focused on the essential work of teacher education for practicing and prospective teachers who love children and aspire to excellence.
Real-world, interactive learning takes place in a dynamic classroom setting. Students engage in case study analyses, personalized research projects and presentations, visual thinking routines, supervised fieldwork, and benefit from individualized mentoring by a faculty advisor.

The M.Ed. is a research-based 36-credit hour professionally oriented program. Aligned with commonly recognized international standards, the program aims to provide the region with educators who are not only credentialed but highly qualified. Faculty and students work together to develop and deepen pride in the profession, cultural competence and a shared commitment to ethical practice.
Upon completion of the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program, students will:
The Master of Education program can be completed within two years. On average, students enroll in two courses each semester. The program, made up solely of evening classes, combines six core courses with five further specialized courses in elementary or secondary education. It also includes a 15-week (one semester) supervised Practicum experience and a Capstone research project.
Offering a culturally diverse graduate program, the Master of Education is open to U.A.E. national and expatriates, native and non-native English speakers. Non-native English speakers must achieve a TOEFL score of 550 or the equivalent to be eligible.
