The program consists of a set of core courses covering discipline-specific topics such as decision theory, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. A broad range of electives are offered in areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, deep learning, sensor networks, internet of things, and robotics.

A thesis-based course plan provides students with an opportunity to develop their professional skills and to pursue their studies towards a higher degree, depending on interests and future career goals.

Program Mission
The Mission of the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Program is to provide a culturally diverse student population with the fundamental knowledge, applications, and modern skills necessary for advanced careers in the artificial intelligence field. The Program is designed to ensure excellence, while emphasizing the role of ethical and social responsibility, technical communication, and scholarly contributions in the academic discipline.

Program Goals
The MSAI Program prepares graduates who will:

  1. Advance in their professions while staying technically current in the artificial intelligence area or related disciplines.
  2. Adhere to the standard principles of social and ethical responsibility and cultural diversity in their field of practice.
  3. Supplement their knowledge and expertise with the necessary oral and written communication skills.

Program Details

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, students will:

  1. Demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills in a broad range of industry and business contexts, utilizing advanced knowledge in machine learning, pattern recognition, knowledge representation, and data mining.
  2. Develop, independently and within teams, intelligent hardware and software systems, using modern computational methods and tools.
  3. Evaluate, communicate and critique new and emerging research and technologies in artificial intelligence, in both written and oral forms.
  4. Analyze and formulate sound judgments on the deployment of artificial intelligence solutions and systems, taking into account the relevant social and ethical complexities.
  5. Implement strategies for research, development, and further learning in relation to current issues and modern trends in artificial intelligence.

Admissions Checklist

Please make sure that the following items are included with your application, your admission will depend on the receipt of all necessary documents that are required throughout the review of your application.

Academic Requirements
An earned undergraduate degree from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the U.A.E. or by the relevant national or regional institutional accrediting body in the case of international applicants.

Documents Requirements

  • A completed online Application for Admission.
  • A 3.00 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) or better in undergraduate study.
  • Official and attested transcripts (in English) of academic record from all universities attended.
  • Undergraduate / Graduate Diplomas.
  • Equivalency letter from the UAE Ministry of Education.
  • Confirmation of University Records.
  • A statement of the applicant’s career objectives.
  • Official test scores: TOEFL®/ IELTS™ & (GMAT® for MBA) & (GRE® for MSAI and MSCM) where relevant.
  • Two Professional or Educational References (including contact information).
  • Army exemption letter for all UAE nationals.

Program-specific Admission Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree: in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely-related discipline, from a recognized institution.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE®): Minimum score of 148 is required in the quantitative section.
  • A minimum of three years of work experience is recommended.
