Sustainable building codes, including the US Green Building Council’s LEED and Dubai's own Al Sa'fat system, have contributed to the rise of sustainable construction's growth and ever-expanding market share. While our impressions of these systems and green buildings in general gravitate towards energy and water savings, some research points towards air quality as the true generator of a lion's share of the savings. This session will delve into how certain strategies and technologies employed in sustainable construction have led improvements in indoor environmental quality and how these improvements can affect your very own health, wellbeing, and productivity.
