CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO ATTEND

Wind Effects on Ground-Mounted PV Arrays

WEBINAR

PV installations of all size and type are subject to wind effects. This presentation will cover turbulent fluctuations near the ground and how these fluctuations induce various aerodynamic and aeroelastic forces that affect installations. Explanations of these forces will be provided with demonstrations of the various experimental and numerical tools used in their prediction. Aerodynamic stiffness and aerodynamic damping will be introduced in the context of tracker stability. Finally, design implications and potential mitigation strategies will be discussed.
