I am delighted that we can lead as educational partners by hosting this sustainability event at SoAS to share and disseminate this message that “Food is Not Waste”. Supporting this initiative aligns with our commitment at AUD and SoAS to enhance green education for our students and support impactful initiatives within our wider UAE community. Food loss and waste are major global concerns as more than 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted annually worldwide. Through these interactive workshops, we can play a key role in advocating against food loss and waste, and can prepare and educate our students to become future global citizens who can contribute towards the achievement of UN sustainable development goals”.
