Under the patronage and presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Dubai hosted the IFCC World Lab 2024, a prestigious global conference held for the first time in the Middle East and Africa and outside of Europe. With participants from over 55 countries, the AUD Biology team won the poster and research award.

Ms. Maya Atwi, a fresh biology graduate, gave a stellar presentation in the Young Scientists Forum on the key role of Cancer Stem Cells in cancer. Atwi, along with her colleague Tallal Mansour, also presented a poster on this topic. Additionally, Mounir Alfahel, Aryaman Dayal, and Hiba Khamis presented a pioneering study on the impact of VR in biology education conducted at AUD. This poster and research won the award, marking a significant achievement for our team.
