The AUD Health Center recently hosted an impactful Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar, featuring a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Nelly El Halabi, Director of the Health Center. The event brought together distinguished experts from American Hospital Dubai and Mediclinic, along with an inspiring breast cancer survivor who shared her personal journey.
The seminar emphasized the significance of early detection, effective treatment, and robust support networks, which are crucial to the resilience and recovery of those affected by breast cancer. Attendees gained valuable insights into the role of family, friends, healthcare providers, and counseling services in providing emotional and psychological support.
The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences also contributed to this vital event, reaffirming its commitment to community health education and awareness. Together, the Health Center and the Department engaged the AUD community in the ongoing effort to combat breast cancer, underscoring the importance of awareness, early screening, and supportive care.
