Innovators in the Media, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication, includes two competitions; the first, a Feature Story about the elements of excellence in EXPO2020 Dubai, won by Abdullah Omar Al-Jumaili from Al Ahlia Charity School in Dubai, and the second, a short film competition entitled In an Atmosphere of the EXPO2020 Dubai, the impact of the diversity of cultures in the Emirates on our lives, won by Juel Ayman Nasr from Al-Hikma School in Ajman. Both participants were awarded a full scholarship to the American University in Dubai.
Dr. David A. Schmidt, President of AUD, congratulated the winners of the two competitions and praised the role of the administrations and teachers in the schools for their support. He stressed the role of the university in embracing young talent and providing them with full support.
Among the speakers were Professor Ali Jaber, Dean of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication and Ibrahim Al-Hashemi, Executive Director of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, who thanked AUD for launching this competition annually, and stressed its importance in revealing the talents of students and motivating them to work in the media field.

Fifth place: Sarah Mubarak Al Muhairi - Al Ittihad Private School Jumeirah
Fourth place: Lina Nader Abbas- Al Ittihad Private School Jumeirah
