Hassan NK Khayal is an Assistant Manager in Mazars’ consulting practice in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Hassan has six years of experience in consulting, working on business process improvement and strategy formulation projects. Hassan was also featured in the global “Internal Auditor Magazine” published by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as one of the top 15 under 30 global Emerging Leaders as an up-and-coming star of the internal audit profession.
Hassan has extensive experience in advisory services as he conducted numerous projects across various industries throughout his career. Hassan’s experience spans both the public and private sector across the GCC. The public sector experience includes both federal and local government projects. During his works, Hassan has had exposure and experience in the Government Services, Financial Services, Freezones, Security, Oil and Gas, Nuclear Energy, Space, Education, Construction, Construction Material, Real Estate, Media, Postal Services, Transportation, Ports, Automotive, Food and Beverages, Hospitality, Retail, Forest and Wildlife Management, Animal Feed, Medical Services, Medical Equipment, Sports, and Art sectors.
Prior to joining Mazars, Hassan worked in Protiviti, where his duties included independently establishing internal audit functions for the clients, conducting risk assessments, internal audit assignments, corporate governance reviews, business process reengineering projects, and strategy formulation projects. Hassan obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in Accounting and Finance, his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Finance, and a certificate in Middle Eastern Studies from the American University in Dubai. Hassan is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and he also holds the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Hassan also holds professional certifications in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Quality Management, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, and Risk Management. Hassan is also a Core Committee Member in the American University in Dubai Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre Business Incubator (AEIC – BI), where he mentors budding entrepreneurs on how to best develop and launch their business ideas, participating in developing the ideas and pitching them to prospective investors.
In his free time, Hassan is an avid scuba diving instructor, he is a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Course Director, and he enjoys teaching professional level courses in scuba diving and first aid in an effort to take part in nurturing the next generation of diving instructors, as well as volunteering with Project AWARE, a global movement for ocean protection powered by a community of adventurers.
