Mr. Jaime Gordillo Medina teaches Spanish at the American University in Dubai. He previously worked at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Because he was a part of the Bilingual Teaching in Compulsory Secondary Education Centers supported by the Spanish Embassy in Poland, his career has focused on Spanish teaching and educational cooperation programs between Spain and other countries. He has also taught Spanish Language, Literature, and Theater in the Bilingual Sections program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Government of Spain in Slovakia. This program guaranteed students' access to Spanish universities by granting them recognition of their training in Spanish education.

In collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, he presented workshops titled El español toma las calles (2019), Rojo pasión (2020), Sobre el español, algunas de sus variedades y otros conceptos (2021), Español con sentimiento (2021), and Las series españolas. El español a través de Netflix (2022). Mr. Gordillo has also participated in conferences such as the VII Encuentro de Profesores de E/LE, Poland titled La gramática del español o cómo hablamos en realidad (2016), and training for Spanish coordinators of bilingual sections in Poland with the title De la emoción al aprendizaje: la lírica como vehículo de aprendizaje (2016).

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, learning languages, skating, and meeting people from various cultures.
