Dr. Bicaksiz joined AUD in August 2023 as an Associate Professor of Psychology. She has six years of teaching experience in psychology departments of Turkish higher education institutions. She mostly offered courses on statistics for psychology, research methods, testing and measurement, applied psychology, and I/O psychology, both at the graduate and the undergraduate levels.

After receiving her PhD, she received a post-doctoral research grant from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye, which allowed her to carry out research as a visiting scholar in the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA).

Her research focuses on traffic psychology, specifically the links between personality and different aspects of driver behaviors. Dr. Bicaksiz has published articles in such journals as: Transportation Research Part F: Psychology and Behaviour; Journal of Organizational Behavior; Psychological Reports; Safety; and Advances in Transportation Studies.
